Partner Organization: Community Wealth Partners

Fellowship Role: Associate

Organization Overview:

Community Wealth Partners helps nonprofits and foundations accelerate progress on their missions and solve social problems at the magnitude they exist. Our clients, who are our partners, are not satisfied with incremental change; they are driven by the belief that social problems, including poverty and hunger, can be solved. Our people share that belief and are motivated by the opportunity to tackle complex issues every day through capacity building, strategy consulting and implementation support, and community collaboration engagements. Our team works intensely and has lots of fun. As the for-profit consulting arm of the national nonprofit, Share Our Strength, we bring the successful practices of one of the nation’s leading anti-hunger and anti- poverty organizations to hundreds of change agents nationwide.

Typically, as an Associate you will support 2-3 projects at a time, conducting research and analysis and working collaboratively with Consultants and Directors to create innovative solutions  to the big challenges clients are asking us to help them solve. You will work on varying issue areas and engagement types like strategic planning, implementation support, leadership  development and community collaboration. In addition to project work, you will participate in  training and cross-project learnings and contribute to how we evolve and codify our shared understanding of clients’ needs and solutions. In a typical month, you will have brown bag lunch
conversation with subject matter experts, share examples on how we live our values, and
celebrate a client’s big announcement.
