Our team works intensely and has lots of fun. Typically, Senior Associates will support 2-4
projects at a time, leading research and analysis and working collaboratively with Consultants
and Directors to create, innovative solutions to the big challenges clients are asking us to help
them solve. The projects a Senior Associate works on vary in issue areas and engagement
types like, strategic planning, implementation support, leadership development and
community collaboration. In addition to project work, you will participate in trainings and cross-
project learnings and contribute to how we evolve and codify our shared understanding of
client’s needs and solutions. In a typical month, we have brown bag lunch conversation with
subject matter experts, share examples on how we live our values, and celebrate a client’s big

ProInspire Fellow Role Overview:
The Senior Associate is a critical member of the consulting team, working to ensure that client project’s objectives are successfully achieved. You will develop and execute research plans, analyze information collected, and develop PowerPoint presentations or documents to share ideas and facilitate conversations with clients. Senior Associates also manage project budgets and timelines to help the team adapt to meet client needs while ending the project profitability. In this position you will have mentorship, on-the-job training and support to create an environment where you can learn consulting skills, leverage your critical thinking and develop solutions for a broad spectrum of client issues. As a member of a growing team that values collaboration and learning, you will also contribute your knowledge and talents to firm-wide initiatives and/or administrative tasks, as needed.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Developing research plans to identify key questions that need to be answered in order to develop recommended solutions, and conducting interviews with experts in the field and secondary research to carry out the plan 

  • Synthesizing information from interviews and secondary research to identify important themes or insights that can inform recommendations to clients 

  • Collaborating with project leads to develop client deliverables and strategize on 
 approaches to communicate and facilitate conversation with clients to determine the right solutions for them
  • Presenting research findings to clients when appropriate 

  • Establishing and managing project plans that help the team stay on track with project 
scope, budget and timeline 

  • Managing administrative tasks associated with client projects, including coordinating 
meeting times, planning for in-person trips that require travel and sharing pertinent 
information on budget and timeline with the operations team 

  • Collaborating with project leads in client management and communications, 
including drafting email correspondents, planning agendas for client check-ins and strategizing on approach to facilitating crucial client conversations to move the project forward. 

  •  Supporting management team in the sales process by conducting research on prospective clients and contributing to the proposal development process when appropriate 

  • Managing and completing additional firm responsibilities and administrative tasks as needed 

  • Leading initiatives to grow and develop firm resources
Relevant Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to develop or use existing frameworks to help think through a complex problem logically 

  • Experience conducting research and independently synthesizing a lot of information and drawing conclusions on key insights that should inform client solutions 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as proven ability to develop concise, professional reports and PowerPoint presentations 

  • Experience in roles focused on client services, partner management, donor cultivation or other similar roles that require clear, intentional communications with a target stakeholder group (management consulting experience is a plus) 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to team brainstorming, idea refinement and solution development, as well as take ownership for specific deliverables 

  • Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets and multiple streams of work (Project management training and/or PMP certification a plus) 

  • Demonstrated commitment to social change; passion for and knowledge around key issues in either education, health, equity and/or other poverty related issue areas 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 3-5 years related professional work experience 

  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 

Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with experience.
