ProInspire is seeking a Program Manager to manage the launch of Equity in the Center, a field-wide initiative to create a more diverse and equitable social sector talent pipeline. ProInspire serves as backbone for this collaborative cross-sector effort.
In 2017, Equity in the Center will conduct research to define a framework that supports leaders in creating more inclusive and equitable cultures at nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. As part of this work, we will convene advisors, funders, and thought leaders for a series of working sessions to culminate in release of a publication during our first Equity Summit in October 2017.
The Program Manager will be a dynamic, driven, rising leader, eager to be on the ground of a start-up collaborative working to drive inclusion and equity sector-wide through development of tools and tactics that change organizational mindsets and practices.

The Program Manager will lead project management for the new initiative, coordinate stakeholder engagement, and support marketing, partnerships, and development. The Program Manager will work closely with the Project Director, ProInspire’s CEO and staff based in Washington, DC, as well as Equity in the Center’s consultants, Steering and Advisory Committee members and partners nationwide.

What is Equity in the Center?
Equity in the Center (EITC) is a field wide initiative to influence social sector leaders to shift mindsets, practices, and systems to increase racial and ethnic diversity at all levels. Our work is based on the premise that engaging, supporting and convening leaders for bold conversation on the case, tactics, and tools for equity and inclusion will drive action to combat structural racism in the nonprofit leadership talent pipeline. The initiative was created by ProInspire, Public Allies, and AmeriCorps Alums in 2016. It is a collaborative initiative, with ProInspire serving as fiscal sponsor and backbone.
